Perfect Reconsidered

I am now in a quandary. Last night at dinner, I tried a Duvel, which was a fine beer, but nothing special. I then ordered an Orval, another Trappist ale. Well, in the days forthcoming, there will be a taste-off between Orval and Westmalle. May the best monks win.

I've not spent enough time in Brussels, but I'm off to Namur, which is where I hook up with my tour group. I will definitely have to come back here and spend more time.

To the Ardennes

Slept in today and then took the train from Brussels to Namur (about an hour away), which is in (near?) the Ardennes. Very beautiful here! Carting the bike case and a large suitcase through the bus station without an elevator was interesting, but two different guys helped me carry the bike case down sets of stairs. Love these Belgians!

In Namur, the hotel is on the banks of the river Meuse and there is a great trail along the river. Did a 40 minute run late this afternoon and on the other bank of the river is a very cool castle and some gorgeous homes. I will definitely get out tomorrow with the camera. Tonight I had dinner with Lawrie and Natalie and Stevo of Bikestyle Tours and Adrian the bus driver and Robert, another guy on the trip. Everyone else arrives tomorrow. Tomorrow I'll put the bike together and go for a ride and probably a short run in the morning. Abientot!!
