Movie Review--Dogtown and Z-Boys

2002 documentary by skateboarding legend and filmmaker Stacy Peralta (Riding Giants).

Who knew the link between surfing and skateboarding? If you did, you've got me beat! This is a very good documentary about the birth of a new style of skateboarding which happened in Santa Monica in the 70s. Intercut with video and interviews (both back then and now) and still photography, the film kept my interest the entire time. Great music too. 4-stars!
